DO YOU LIKE THINGS SIMPLE? ENTER THE FLIP ULTRA SERIES
The Flip Ultra Series is the epitome of the less is more mentality. It is by far the easiest, most simple camera on the market and is perfect for those who aren’t super-tech savvy or who just want something that is stress free. Even David Arquette, Paris Hilton and Rosie O’Donnell are fans.
The camera is simple to use-just point and push a button. The quality is as good as that of more expensive versions, but there are no menus, settings, light or special effects of any kind.
In fact, it is sort of like a cell phone in that it is small enough to stick in your pocket so that it can be easily transported anywhere. It runs on AA batteries.
There are no tapes or discs-instead a USB arm is built in and flips out at a 90 degree angle to be connected directly to your computer. What could be simpler than just plugging something in?
The Flip also comes with basic software that allows you organize, edit and share. You can use it to easily publish , email videos, add music and upload to AOL, MySpace, YouTube, and other video sharing sites.
While it may sort of look like a toy, the color options add a coolness factor. The Ultra is available in white, black, orange, pink and green.
Just a warning-it only takes 30-60 minutes of film, so if you are planning on taping in longer spurts, this may not be a great choice for you. But at the price of $149, you really can’t go wrong.
