Stilll searching for that perfect timepiece to add elegance to your wardrobe? The Tourneau brand makes a number of sophisticated watches. One of my favorites is their Safari model.

Tourneau is well known as a luxury company and includes brands such as Swatch and Rolex. It has 37 boutique locations, making it one of of America’s largest retailers.

The Safari model is made in Switzerland and is inspired by the styles from the Tourneau collection dating back to the 1950′s. Powered by a Rhonda StarTech chronograph movement contained in a 42 mm stainless steel case, a rotating internal bezel is activated by rotating the bi-directional outer bezel, which is an exclusive Tourneau design.

The watch has an oversized crown that adds, but doesn’t beg, for attention. It’s a nice eye grabber. The case and strap are made from steel and are durable to bumps and scuffs. Additional features include skeletonized hands for easy reading of the appliqué dial and a curved caseback to provide ergonomic comfort. For those who dive or boat, it is water resistant.

Aside from all of those features, the standout is the signature big date dual window, which is found at 12 o’clock position. It not only makes this design much more interesting and unique, but you’ll never have to search for a calendar on yoru desk or squint your eyes to find the date on your watch again.
