I’m sure you’ve all been following the phenomenal growth of facebook, whose influence on the business world is increasing exponentially on a daily basis. TIME managing editor, Richard Stengel, writing in his new book, The Connector, points out that the world population in 2012 will be over 7 billion people; 2 billion will have Facebook pages.

Over 700,000 people join a day and over 100 million photos are posted a day. Staggering! Some corporations have done a better job than others at embracing and utilizing this technology, but the message is clear. Facebook is here to stay and if your company wants to survive and prosper, it had better develop a social networking strategy sooner rather than later. I came across a good article you might want to reference and forward to your clients/friends:

Is the Office Santa running short on time this holiday? Does he/she need help picking the best gifts to make everyone happy? Want to know what is hot? New?

Digital Cameras:

Just set the Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS Digital ELPH to Smart AUTO and you’re ready for maximum enjoyment from your picture-taking every time. It’s a relaxing and satisfying way to shoot because you can completely concentrate on your subject knowing that the camera has the technical details covered. Advanced Canon technology intelligently analyzes your situation and shooting conditions. Then it automatically selects an appropriate setting from 22 specially defined settings. So whether you’re photographing flowers, a captivating sunset, or your friends at the park, you can be confident that you’re getting dramatic, memorable images.

Electronics:

The KHT3005SE-W system floods the room with the same dense, intricate and richly textured 3D sound image as the KHT3005SE, but with a valuable additional benefit: the convenience of a wireless version of the award-winning HTB2SE subwoofer, which eliminates the need to embed or trail cables around the room.

Sports:

The Trek Navigator 2.0 rider feels more comfortable lower to the ground, with 26″ wheels and confidence-inspiring wide tires. An upright position adds to the feeling of ease and control.

Style:

Cruise Sport is an exciting re-interpretation of TechnoMarine’s signature Cruise collection. Designed for someone with an active lifestyle, Cruise Sport introduces new design hallmarks, including a smooth, uni-directional rotating bezel, broad hands and a re-envisioned, three-dimensional dial. The streamlined black form is punctuated by subtle pops of color. Straps and case-covers are easily interchangeable to match your style, mood or destination.

The cost of health insurance isn’t just on the rise, it’s sky-rocketing. For companies struggling to cope with the rising cost of providing their employees with insurance a Wellness program might be a surprising solution.

Did you know Wellness programs can lower your health insurance costs by 30%?

Here’s How:

50-87% of health care costs are life-style based

Health care costs per employee have risen 40% in the last 4 years

For every $1 you invest in Wellness Programs you can save up to $5.82

It’s easy to see that getting healthy also has healthy sized financial rewards for companies. If your company is interested in starting your company’s own Wellness Program and start saving money on health costs, contact: Taraci Motivation or call 212-243-7733

Taraci Motivation has been in the incentive industry for 28 years and was a founding member of the Global Incentive Council of the IMA. As a company that has always had a number of multinational clients, we have spearheaded the drive to develop international partners who would make the execution of a truly universal solution a reality. Shipping charges, duty and customs problems made global programs not just difficult, but almost impossible to run in a centralized, uniform way.

More often than not, multinationals ran different programs in different countries and regions, resulting in the loss of control over strategic goals and the propagation of different reward systems with uneven and often inequitable award platforms. Language barriers and currency issues only exacerbated the problem.

After years of trial and error, Taraci Motivation can now draw from a vast network of partners across the globe and execute a global program in Europe, The Pacific Rim, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, South America and of course, the U.S. In addition, our MotivationMgr™ platform can create online catalogs in multiple languages. If necessary, we can even provide multi-lingual customer support.

On top of this, we’ve developed catalog technology that allows online catalogs to be published in multiple languages and through our partners we can even provide multi-lingual customer support.

Contact Taraci Motivation to schedule a 15 minute webinar, email or call: 888-485-8583

Frequently Asked Questions

A: On occasion. Usually, we build the domestic catalog first and then build a culturally and functionally appropriate catalog overseas. If necessary, the process could be reversed.

Q: How long does it take to start a program?

A: You can be up and running in two weeks from the time the budget is set & program design is approved.

Keeping the Customer Satisfied

Developing Effective Loyalty programs

Few marketers would argue against the advantage of having satisfied, loyal customers or that it’s much cheaper to keep an existing customer compared to selling a new one. Empirical evidence suggests that success in retaining customers often boils down to doing the basics right.

In addition, some businesses have characteristics better suited than other businesses for loyalty/frequency marketing programs, according to Jill Griffin, author of Customer Loyalty: How to Earn It, How to Keep It. Her book includes the following questions to help determine whether a frequency marketing program makes sense for your company:

Does your product or service have a frequent and regular repeat purchase cycle?

Do your customers perceive little differentiation between your product or service and your competitors’? If so, then a frequency marketing program may help.

Will your customers perceive the rewards as valuable?

Will you communicate with these customers on an ongoing basis in order to build a long-term relationship?

Can you afford the program?

Do you have a comprehensive relationship-building strategy and a means to measure it?

You Pay For What You Get

When you are thinking about creating an incentive program for your company, a large part of the equation is going to consist on what it is going to cost to run it. You could attempt to run the program in house, but that requires lots of staff hours, programmer hours and will require you purchasing gifts retail. Instead, you could hire an incentive company, but if you do you need to understand that they are running a business and need to make money somewhere.

Customer service costs money, administration costs money and labor costs money, not to mention the merchandise. An incentive company worth their salt isn’t going to charge you for these things separately. That is because an incentive company should be making their money buying things wholesale and selling it to you at a mark-up.

Again, an incentive company worth their salt has found relationships with all the major brands and can get you pricing below retail with many of the items in your catalog. This way a good incentive company is likely going to save your company both time and money. However, if you are going to expect a company to compete with every advertised online price then you’ll need to address your “Fair Value Concept” and figure out what running the program is worth.

If you’d like to speak with an incentive company with hundreds of brands and thousands of products, email Taraci Motivation or call 212-243-7733.
