Great news! Our new Facebook Incentive Marketing App – the Taraci Social MediaMgr (TM) – was covered by Forbes! Here’s an excerpt from the article:

If most (I would never say “all”) of your employees are on Facebook playing games and interacting, wouldn’t it be easier to interactively track their accomplishments there? Could Facebook be used, somehow, to build a platform and leverage the interactivity there?

Turns out Tom Taraci of Taraci Motivation beat me to the punch with a new Facebook app. It marries the interactivity and community of Facebook with the motivational goals many executives wish to achieve. It’s probably one of the most comfortable fits between using Facebook as a personal, social platform and a company’s desire to engage and motivate employees.

Great news! Nick Hughes from the Business Insider and So Entrepreneurial just posted a tremendous feature story on Taraci Motivation’s Facebook Incentive Marketing App. Here’s the beginning of the piece — and simply click on the link to read the rest of the post.

I think we we can all admit: corporate life can, at times, be difficult. That might be the main reason a large number of employees tend to meander over to social sites such as Facebook or Twitter to see what is going on outside the firewall.

But are social technologies really a distraction? Or can they be used to actually enhance the morale and engagement of the workforce?

The Taraci Social MediaMgr™, from Taraci Motivation, is an incentive marketing application that allows organizations to host and run employee incentive marketing programs entirely through Facebook. It allows an organization to integrate the social and communications tools of Facebook into traditional incentive marketing programs. Their vision is to transform how organizations run incentive programs by helping them fully integrate the power of social media.

It’s no secret a successful incentive marketing program can improve performance by 25-44%, according to a recent study conducted by the International Society of Performance Improvement. Today, I’d like to share with you my five simple tips to creating a winning motivational program:

1) Select Your Program

Programs that reward performance based on meeting or exceeding goals achieve the most positive results.

2) Establish Value of the Program

Incentives increase performance by boosting the value people assign to work goals, which encourages them to make stronger commitments to achieving company objectives.

3) Training and Communication

A successful motivational program includes training and support and regular communication to make sure your work force is on track to reach their goals. A program hosted on Facebook is the best way to ensure continuous communication.

4) Support Your Program

Employees have to believe that the organization will support their performance goal and provide incentive rewards fairly. This requires careful attention to the way rewards are given, how the rewards are distinguished from compensation, and making sure the rewards are distributed in a timely and fair fashion.

5) Emotionally Engage Your Employees

The biggest performance gains come when people become emotionally engaged with the program. With careful consideration, incentive awards should have a positive impact on the company’s psyche and organizational spirit.

For more information on creating a winning incentive program, please contact tom@taraci.com or call 212.243.7733.

Best,

Tom Taraci

Bosses might want to think twice about keeping their employees off Facebook during work hours. The new Social Media Mgr Facebook app from Taraci Motivation aims to bring the engagement and peer recognition of traditional incentive programs into the social media age.

Through their Facebook pages, employees can log into the Taraci merchandise catalog, where they can browse award categories like cameras, electronics, gift cards and travel. But unlike a standard catalog, the Social Media Mgr allows visitors to “like” items or leave their comments about them, perhaps mentioning that they want the product once they get enough points or that they already won it.

This information can be shared on the individual’s Facebook wall, where friends and family can see it and comment. The “likes” and comments on the catalog itself also allow employees to see what peers in the program are saying about the awards.

“It makes the experience of shopping an online catalog a social one,” says Tom Taraci, founder of Taraci Motivation. “If you’re sending a gift to someone or bragging to a coworker, there’s this added component that’s going to get the employees more interested than they might otherwise have been. The interplay between employee, manager, and administrator is now much more dynamic.”

Facebook broke another huge milestone when it crossed the 750 million user mark last week – but Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pointing to a new measure of success – Apps.

“The driving narrative of the next five years is not about wiring up the world, but what cool stuff (apps) can you build with this wiring in place,” said Zuckerberg in USA Today.

One example of a breakthrough new application released specifically for Facebook is called the Taraci Social Media Mgr (TM), created by my firm NY-based Taraci Motivation, a leading incentive marketing company.

With the new app, organizations can host and run employee incentive marketing programs — including length of service, sales, wellness, safety, recognition and referral — entirely through Facebook.

The application is designed to improve corporations’ presence in social media by building their corporate communities and increasing the number of their followers on Facebook.

Attention Human Resource Professionals!

For the first time, you can now run your incentive and recognition programs on Facebook.

Recently featured by Forbes, the Taraci Social Media Mgr ™, the first incentive app for Facebook, makes it possible to create a reward program on your corporate Facebook page.

Now, Human Resource professionals can leverage the power of Facebook to launch dynamic incentive programs that offer the ultimate level of engagement. This includes any type of incentive including sales, length of service, wellness, safety and global programs.

Why Run Incentive Programs on Facebook?

• The social component of Facebook greatly enhances the sense of community and therefore builds employee engagement, the fundamental purpose of any incentive program.

• As of May 1, 2011, there were over 155 million U.S. subscribers.

• 85% of the adult U.S. population between the ages of 20 and 65 has Facebook pages.

Here’s How it Works:

Step 1: Taraci Motivation creates an incentive marketing program for your organization, which is hosted on your corporate Facebook page.

Step 2: Participants enter their unique username and password to gain access and view the program, read the rules and receive a congratulatory message.

Step 3: Once participants reach their program goals, they can redeem rewards, as well as ‘like’ and ‘share’ their selections directly through their Facebook account.
