The ultra-compact SC-X210L Sports Camcorder lets you capture the high flying, fast moving action of family members sporting events or big time leagues. It even has a hands free clip so you can film your own trip down the slopes with perfect clarity.

This camera has 1GB of memory so you can only take about 34 minutes of video, but what you capture is well worth it. Would you rather have an hour of blurred, unwatchable film, or crystal clear, high impact video delivered by a 10x optical/100 digital zoom for a shorter amount of time? You can also preview the film, so if you miss the moment or don’t like the angle, you can record over it.

But image quality is just the tip of technological iceberg, with this camera. It packs a ton of functions into it.

You can take movies in MPEG4 ASP (Advanced Simple Profile) format (720 x 480) at 30fps for high resolution, which results in life-like images and there is also a digital still camera.

Printing digital photos is easy. The PictBridge function allows you to print out pictures directly from your camcorder. All you have to do is hook up a USB 2.0 cable from your camcorder to your printer and voila. You can also transport your important files and documents and retrieve them whenever and wherever you need them by just connecting to your computer.

For those who can’t live without their music, but hate carrying a bunch of gadgets around, there is also an MP3 player that can store up to 500 songs on the optional 2GB internal memory. Fliming all the action will turn into the production of a music video or extreme sports show.

And if that wasn’t enough, it has a voice recorder so that you can give your own commentary on all the action.

The Google-powered G1 phone was unveiled the other day and is the talk of the tech world.

The handset is made by HTC and the service is provided by T-Mobile, but the reason it’s garnering so much attention is that it has a completely open source Android platform developed by Google. What this means is that third-party developers can create applications, making the possibilities endless.

The G1 comes with three preinstalled applications: Ecorio, which measures your carbon footprint; ShopSavvy (formerly known as GoKart), which scans bar codes to compare prices; and BreadCrumbz to create a step-by-step visual map using photos.

In addition, there is an Amazon MP3 application with the option of purchasing music directly to the device and a built-in compass, which displays a 360-degree Google Street view based on location. Other Google apps are also built right into the system, including support for Gmail and YouTube videos.

The phone itself is thin, about 3 inches wide and 5 inches long, and features a touch-sensitive, rectangular screen. It is also time-sensitive: Hold down your finger longer, and the area you’re controlling expands. The bottom end of the handset, near the navigational controls, is slightly beveled so it nestles in the palm. The screen also swivels to one side, revealing a full keyboard beneath.

It’s like a mini computer in your purse or pocket.

The G1 comes out Oct. 22.

You can even customize the 11 amp functions by specific zones to give total immersion.

Yamaha’s YPAO Sound Optimization system analyzes the room acoustics and various system factors, then makes adjustments to provide optimum sound quality. It makes adjustments for speaker size, distance and wiring, equalization and level, as well as several other factors to make sure your sound is always at its best.

The RX-Z11 is compatible with the newest version of the HDMI standard, 1.3a, providing the benefits of Deep Color (30/36bit) and the xvYCC color standard. Basically it looks amazing. It can even handle Blue Ray discs.

There are five HDMI inputs, one of which is on the front panel, as well as two HDMI outputs that allow images to be simultaneously displayed from two devices, such as a flat panel monitor and a projector so you can screen your favorite videos or home movies on a bigger screen or a wall.

It can also be connected to your PC through two USB ports and can you can access Internet Radio via a LAN. An HD Radio tuner is also included and you can hook it up with your iPod.
