Even though the summer is almost past, a good pair of sunglasses are needed all year long for that morning drive in the car when the sun is first coming up or for vacations. Mostly though, sunglasses look great and can make a style statement.

Below is a list of Taraci’s top 3 most popular shades that will not only keep your eyes safe, but will have you always looking fashionable.

Ray Ban Aviator

These sunglasses are a classic and have been seen on Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, Alicia Keys, Drew Barrymore, Val Kilmer, Lindsay Lohan and Hugh Jackman. Developed in 1937, the Aviators were given their name from the oblique teardrop shape, which were the same as those Ray Ban was selling at the time to Army and Navy. Bonus? They have glare protection.

Maui Jim Ho’okipa

Maui Jim is a classic brand known for both quality and style. The lenses on these glasses are made of polarized polycarbonate to reduce glare, making them great for activities. Wear them in the car while driving, or use them while boating or fishing.

Ray Ban Wayfarer

Ray Ban introduced the Wayfarer in 1952 and Audrey Hepburn donned a pair in 1961’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Since then they have always been cool. These frames have been seen on Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol to name a few. They’ll never go out of fashion.

Stilll searching for that perfect timepiece to add elegance to your wardrobe? The Tourneau brand makes a number of sophisticated watches. One of my favorites is their Safari model.

Tourneau is well known as a luxury company and includes brands such as Swatch and Rolex. It has 37 boutique locations, making it one of of America’s largest retailers.

The Safari model is made in Switzerland and is inspired by the styles from the Tourneau collection dating back to the 1950′s. Powered by a Rhonda StarTech chronograph movement contained in a 42 mm stainless steel case, a rotating internal bezel is activated by rotating the bi-directional outer bezel, which is an exclusive Tourneau design.

The watch has an oversized crown that adds, but doesn’t beg, for attention. It’s a nice eye grabber. The case and strap are made from steel and are durable to bumps and scuffs. Additional features include skeletonized hands for easy reading of the appliqué dial and a curved caseback to provide ergonomic comfort. For those who dive or boat, it is water resistant.

Aside from all of those features, the standout is the signature big date dual window, which is found at 12 o’clock position. It not only makes this design much more interesting and unique, but you’ll never have to search for a calendar on yoru desk or squint your eyes to find the date on your watch again.

Founded in 1881 in Switzerland, Movado has established itself as a classic luxury brand. They are well known for their signature Museum watches, which make wonderful gifts for coworkers, employees, loved ones and of course, ones self. If you have always wanted to own a masterpiece, here is your chance.

The Museum watches feature black clock faces and a single gold dot at the twelve o’clock position. The original was designed by the American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947 and became the first wrist watch to be displayed at the Museum of Modern Art. How’s that for classy?

The entire look has a minimalistic charm. There is a simple hour and minute hand and the single dot at twelve o’clock is inspired by the sundial.

Aside from just the design being minimal, so is the weight. Movado watches are known for being lighter than most other brands. The face is made of sapphire crystal making the watch highly scratch resistant.

There are several styles of Movado Museum watches. Above is the Museum Classic, which is simply gorgeous and finely crafted. The case is gold-plated giving it a look of rich sophistication.

The Movado Juro watch seen above, also has gold plating and looks fantastic. It can be worn for both formal and informal occasions, making this style a good investment. The two-tone look is always an eye-catcher.

This stainless steel looker was inspired by the 100th Anniversary of aviation. Swiss-made, it delivers pinpoint precision and amazing reliability. You’ll need to find a new excuse to be late!

The caseback of this beautiful watch honors pilot of the Apollo 11 Eagle lunar module, Buzz Aldron, and even has his signature. The round watch case runs smoothly into the bracelet band and gives this a sophisticated, clean look.

The dial is white and offers three tonal chronograph subdials and a full Arabic numeral display in blue. The hands are large anhd bright so they are always easy to see and the date window at 4 o’clock makes sure you never has to be the one asking at a critical moment, “Um….what day is it?”
